In a parent advisory committee meeting a few months ago, an idea of installing vape safe drop boxes throughout the building was brought up. With the help of our Hope Squad, we now have four boxes installed in the building. The idea behind a vape safe drop box is to help encourage a student who may be fighting the addiction to make the right choice and get rid of the vape.
Vaping is an ongoing issue schools are facing and we just need to continue to be vigilant in educating our youth on the negative effects of vaping.
This week also marks the first week that Ross County Health District is visits our building to teach a course on the negative affects of vaping. A representative spoke to Mr. McCormick's students yesterday.
