The parking lot surrounding Zane Trace Local School District has been repaved and our student parking spots have been numbered! G & J Paving has also repaved the walkway areas at our Zane Trace Sports Complex. In addition to the numbering of student parking spots, more handicap spots will soon be added in the parking lot next to the baseball field. This paving project is still in the works, so try not to park in a lot where you see the paving crew working.

The high school gym has overgone a makeover, thanks to several outside companies and our maintenance department! If you make a visit to our gym, you will notice the floor was recently waxed and the walkway around the upper level has been painted. The railings on the second level have also been painted.
Next, check out our new mats at both ends of the gym! The ZT Athletic Boosters chipped in and helped with the purchase of the new wall mats ! Thanks, ZT Athletic Boosters!
The locker rooms that our volleyball and boys and girls basketball teams use have new flooring installed! These positive changes go well with the weight room behind our home bleachers that has gradually grown. One of two weight rooms on campus for our students and staff. Lastly, if you walk by the concession stand in our main hallway you will notice two giant ZT Pioneer logos smiling at you! Carve Your Path!

The Zane Trace High School Parent Advisory Committee for the 2025-2026 school year is set. The current committee is at the cap of 15 parents. Awesome! We greatly appreciate how many parents want to be part of this committee. The committee meets once per month during the school year with the building principal and has provided a lot of valuable insight over the past two school years. The committee has also brought ideas to the meetings that have been implemented. Examples would include the ACT Workshops and the Student-Run Atomic Credit Union program that will begins this coming year.
We appreciate the support and input from our parents and community! The more involvement we have from everyone, the better we serve our students.
Below is a link to ZTHS Parent Advisory Committee page found on our high school webpage. All meeting minutes from the past two school years are posted.

🎉 Year-End Wrap-Up: Zane Trace High School Aviation Program Milestones! 🛩️
What a landmark year for our Zane Trace High School Aviation program, led by Mrs. Thornton! In our first year offering industry-recognized certifications, our students rose to the challenge and achieved amazing things:
✅ 2 students became licensed FAA Part 107 Remote Drone Pilots
✅ 7 students earned their USI – Safety Level 1 Certification
This year’s success was made even more special through partnerships with The Ohio State University and the Unmanned Safety Institute (USI). Their support helped bring real-world experiences and professional credentials into our classroom!
These certifications open doors to future careers in aviation, technology, and beyond. We’re incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication our students showed all year long. The sky’s not the limit—it’s just the beginning! 🚀

Late last week, our amazing advanced IT students, Josh Southwick and Wyatt Park, stepped up to help Mrs. Thornton with end-of-year PC maintenance. From carefully cleaning hardware to organizing cables, they made sure every classroom computer is ready to be powered down for summer break. ☀️🖥️
Thanks for your hard work and leadership — true IT pros in the making! 👨💻👩💻
