2/6/24 Announcements January Students of the Month: Josie Spencer, Nick Detty, Mary Helber, Brendan Carmean Matilda Jr. Auditions are Wednesday, February 7 from 5-6 p.m. You will need to come prepared to recite a poem from memory and sing a part of a song of your choice. You will need to enter the building through the latchkey entrance. Softball practices begin Monday, February 19th. A signup sheet is in the office. There will be a MADE meeting on Wednesday, February 7th at lunch. Meeting will be in Mrs. Wolfe's office. There will be a Hope Squad meeting on Thursday, February 8th at lunch. The 46th Annual Zane Trace FFA Sausage Breakfast was a success! There was a lot of time and effort put in behind the scenes by Mrs. Johnston and the students in our FFA program. Thank you to everyone that came out and enjoyed a good breakfast they spent the week preparing for you.

Our varsity boys basketball team improved to 8-2 in the league with their 53-43 win over Adena tonight!

2/1/24 Announcements There is a two hour delay tomorrow, Friday, February 2nd for students. The ZT FFA Sausage Breakfast is tomorrow from 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. Kickstart your day with a great breakfast that our FFA students have been working hard to prepare all week. There is an NHS meeting for current and eligible students today at 9:30 a.m. to review the application process. The meeting will take place in the cafeteria. Athletics 1/31/24 Swimming Highlights Girls finished 2nd of 4 teams. Boys finished 1st of 4 teams Mariska Wax finished 1st in the 100 freestyle Caitlin DiBenedetto finished 1st in the 100 backstroke The girls 400 relay team finished first. Josh Young finished first in the 50 and 100 freestyle. Our swim team competed against Fairfield Union, Circleville, and Logan Elm tonight. Their final tune up for sectionals. Way to work! Results will be shared when available.

Weekend Highlights 1/27/24 Powerlifting at Southern Ohio Regional Ten individuals placed in their respective weight classes! Riley Hartsaugh won his weight class and had the top bench press in the middleweight division at 265 lbs. Caden Jones had the top bench press in the heavyweight division at 345 lbs. Our boys basketball team defeated Piketon, 53-49, in overtime to improve to 7-2 in the league! “Develop success from failures.
