Announcements
BPA members who plan to attend the BPA event with the Columbus Blue Jackets need to have your money turned in to either Ms. Black or Mrs. Thornton by Thursday 10/26.
There will be a powder puff football practice on Wednesday, October 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. up on the practice field. The last day to order shirts will also be on October 25th. The practice is for all students participating in the powder puff football event.
Junior Class officers will meet on Thursday in Mrs. Wolfe's room at lunch time.
MADE will be selling bags of candy through October 31st. The bags are $2 each and will be available at lunch time outside the high school office.
The MADE rally is Friday, October 27th. The last day to turn in applications and fees is Thursday! They must be submitted in order to attend the rally!

The Zane Trace FFA Chapter had another successful experience at the 116th Annual Circleville Pumpkin Show!
Individual Award Winners
Ellie Doles-Grand Champion in the Junior Pumpkin Pie Bake-off
Lily Rose-Best of Show in the Junior Canned Goods competition.
Kendra Detillion- First place in her division of the Junior Canned Goods competition.
Kailee Adkins-First place in her division of the Junior Canned Goods competition.
Charley Clyne-Third place in his division of the Junior Canned Goods competition.
Cora Pelletier- Third place in the Junior Mini-Pie competition.
The ZT FFA placed first in green beans and second place in hot peppers and green peppers. They also placed third in Hungarian Wax Peppers and red peppers. Isaac Detty and Delaney McCluskey picked out the veggies!
Thirty-Five members of the chapter participated in the parade this past Thursday by riding on the hay wagon float the chapter designed.

Our football team defeated Paint Valley, 34-31. They now host Middletown Madison on Friday at 7pm in a first round playoff game.
Wyatt Vick qualified for the Division II Regional Cross Country meet this weekend at Pickerington North H.S. after he placed 21st at the district meet held at Rio Grande. He will run at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Let's congratulate, Wyatt Vick, on placing 21st at the OHSAA Division II District Cross Country meet today, hosted by Rio Grande. Wyatt ran the course in 17:46 minutes and competed against 169 boys. The boys finished 11th out of 22 teams. Our girls finished 19th.
Wish him luck as he will now compete at the OHSAA Division II Regional Cross Country meet which is next Saturday, October 28th at Pickerington North High School. The division II boys run at 12:45 p.m.


Our Pioneers defeated Paint Valley, 34-31, to finish the regular season with a 7-3 record!
They have clinched a first round home playoff game and will find out who their opponent later this weekend.

Our boys’ soccer team hosts Miami Trace tonight at 6 p.m. in the Division II Sectional Tournament.
Our girls’ soccer team travels to Rock Hill. This Division III Sectional Tournament game starts at 6:00 p.m..

The month of October is Ohio School Safety Month.
The Ohio Department of Education released information on the theme for this week on 10/16/2023, which is a focus on bullying prevention.
On Wednesday, October 18th, we encourage students to participate in "Wear and Share Orange". The purpose of the theme for this day is to unite in kindness and to show support against bullying.

Announcements
Our library will now be available to review and checkout books beginning tomorrow, October 18th. The library will be open daily from 7:45 a.m. to 9:20 a.m. If you are in study hall the first two periods, you still report to the library. Our first two study hall class rosters are small enough that we can use the library for its main purpose.
Students who signed up for the Wittenberg University presentation need to report to the media center during lunch time today.
There is a meeting for any student interested in participating on the swim team on Wednesday during lunch in Mrs. Johnston’s room.
There is an FCA meeting today.

Our varsity football team defeated Southeastern 49-16 to improve to 6-3.
Wyatt Vick placed 3rd and Isaac Detty placed 11th at the SVC Cross Country Meet. The boys’ team placed 3rd overall.
Lydia Delong placed 17th and Kaitlyn McDowell placed 21st at the SVC Cross Country Meet.
Our Marching Band performed well at the Festival of Bands at Logan High School on Saturday.
