12/15/2023 Announcements First and fifth period exams are today. A written note from a parent needs to be turned into the office for you to be able to leave after all of your exams are complete for today. Each teacher knows who has permission to signout and has a signout sheet in their classroom. A reminder that Wednesday, December 20th is a make-up exam day. The only students reporting are students that need to take an exam. Nearly 50 different careers and colleges met with grades 10-12 at the Zane Trace College and Career Fair held this morning. Mrs. Johnston and our ZT FFA students helped organize the event from contacting representatives to organizing the setup. A great experience for our students in the FFA! We greatly appreciate all of the career and college representatives that came out today to meet and visit with our students. Many of our students are still trying to figure out what path they make take after high school, so the interactions made with each student could have helped them start carving their path! Thank you to all that were involved in making this event a success!

12/14/2023 Announcements The Zane Trace College and Career Fair is today. Seniors and juniors will be dismissed to the high school gym shortly before 8 a.m. The sophomores will be dismissed at 9:15 a.m. The 8th period exam is today during 7th/8th periods. If you do not have an 8th period exam, you are permitted to leave after 6th period if you have permission from a parent turned into the office. 12/12/2023 Announcements There is an FCA meeting during lunch today. Congratulations to our quiz team for winning the Ross County Quiz Bowl Tournament yesterday! The final round against Huntington was decided by a couple tiebreaker questions. The Zane Trace College and Career Fair is this Thursday. We have over 45 representatives from colleges and careers that will be present to meet with grades 10-12. The event will take place in the high school gym. All juniors and seniors will be dismissed shortly before 8 a.m. Their session will last until 9:15 a.m. Sophomores will make it through the event from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Students will be given agendas to follow that are being provided by the ZT FFA. Thursday is a normal school day until the 8th period exam, which will take place during 7th/8th periods. If you have study hall during 8th period, you would be permitted to leave after 6th period if you have turned in a parent note giving you permission to do so. Seniors that normally leave after 7th period, would be permitted to leave after 6th period on Thursday. One parent note giving a student permission to leave after exams are completed for a day can be used for all exam dates. The parent just needs to list each exam date on the note. The Zane Trace Quiz Team won the 2023 Ross County Quiz Bowl today! The final round came down to tiebreaker questions between Huntington and Zane Trace and our team got the tiebreaker questions to claim the title! Our quiz team is coached by Mr. Jason Clark. Congratulations to our champs!

We have at least 45 representatives from a variety of careers that will be ready to meet grades 10-12. Seniors and juniors will participate in the career fair from 8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. and sophomores from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Midterm exams begin next Thursday, December 14th. Each student in Mr. Clark's Biology classes had a chance to experiment with enzymes this week. Great learning experience!

12/7/2023 Announcements Chromebooks will be passed out beginning with this order beginning at 8 a.m: Seniors - Last Name beginning from A-J Seniors- Last Name beginning from K-Z The rest of the grade levels will be released by the same last name order. If you did not sign the Chromebook agreement, you will not receive a Chromebook. If you are not getting a Chromebook, you still need to sign the agreement. All Zane Trace Local Schools Google Accounts will be monitored by Google Securly, which means a personal computer can still be monitored by Zane Trace Local Schools while logged into your school account. There is an FFA Meeting today during lunch. Tomorrow is the last day to bring in canned foods! Drop those off in Mrs. Morton's room for bonus points. NHS Blood Drive is tomorrow.
