Tanalyn Kellough, Chloe Johnson, and Londyn Carroll are eighth graders at ZTMS who recently placed in a local writing competition. The VFW contest had contestants write using the prompt, "What does democracy mean to you?" In this contest, Tanalyn won first, Chloe won second, and Londyn won third. Since Tanalyn won first place, she went on to districts and is headed to state soon. Tanalyn will be awarded a monetary prize for each level and will have a chance to stay overnight in a hotel for the state contest. We are proud to have Tanalyn represent us in the Robert Leach VFW Post 108 essay contest!
