Zane Trace Local Schools Educator Nominated for National LifeChanger of the Year Award

December 19, 2024–Chillicothe, OH– Zane Trace Middle School English teacher April Brown has been nominated for National Life Group’s 2024-25 LifeChanger of the Year award. Sponsored by the National Life Group Foundation, LifeChanger of the Year recognizes and rewards the very best K-12 educators and school district employees across the United States who are making a difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence, and leadership.

Brown was nominated anonymously for her commitment to instilling a strong work ethic, integrity, and high morals in her students. She believes in shaping well-rounded individuals by emphasizing character development alongside academic success.

In addition to her focus on personal growth, Brown is working to bring the Fellowship of Christian Athletes program to the middle school. FCA promotes faith, leadership, and teamwork, providing students an opportunity to grow spiritually and personally through athletics.

“I’m excited to offer students a chance to integrate their faith with their education and sports,” said Brown. “FCA will help them develop integrity and leadership skills that will last a lifetime.”
